Naturally Dyed Yarn / Worsted / Brazilwood 2
The colors produced by plants are truly extraordinary. Sun light, or even the angle of your perception, will change their appearance.
I am fascinated by the unexpected beauty of the natural color. I simmer plants every day; the resulting dye creates what I need to produce clothing, yarn, and an assortment of products. The plant color is filled with the wonder and beauty of nature.Colors from plants are more dynamic than those from chemical dyeing. The colors change over time just as in nature.
When you wear clothes from nature itself, I would imagine you will feel the comfort in it.
Our yarn is gentle to people and the environment. I hope you will enjoy the color from nature as I do.
About the yarn ;
For the sweater you’ll wear a thousand times or the blanket you’ll use every night, our classic wool yarn is spun and plied carefully to achieve a wonderfully balanced twist. Spun from Peruvian wool, the strong fiber has an excellent balance of structure, loft, and drape that serves a wide variety of uses. Wonderfully warm for all-weather, this sturdy, all-purpose yarn has excellent stitch definition and heirloom durability. It is ideal for cabled sweaters, textured stitch afghans, and everyday accessories.
The wool of the Andes Superwash is the same worsted weight Peruvian wool, specially treated to prevent felting so you can enjoy all the warmth, structure, and durability of wool with the convenience of machine washing. Usable for all the same things as regular Wool of the Andes, the superwash version is particularly excellent for projects that are heavily used or difficult to hand wash, such as gloves, blankets, and children’s clothes.
